The office releases a two-year report on itself: “progress, resilience, accountability and results”
The Sheriff’s Office released a two-year report on its own performance at a union training center. “This report is more than a collection of statistics,” Bilal said. “It is a story of progress, resilience, accountability and results.”
The report said the office had expanded eviction capacity from about 25 weekly actions to about 144 since taking over evictions in August 2024, that fugitive apprehensions were up 75% over two years, and that task-force operations had removed more than 300 firearms from the streets. Of evictions, Bilal said: “Our Civil Division served more than 15,000 eviction actions … and no one got shot.”
